Adolescence is a period of self-exploration, of setting boundaries, of asking without giving. It is a time of bursting emotions and constant battlegrounds. In this project I speak about these moments, the transition in becoming a young adult. These are all fleeting instants, playful, poetic and unpredictable. My aim is to communicate a sense of adaptation, capacity to reinvent yourself, and to witness the changes that are occurring inside us. Our nature is harmonic once accepted, but it becomes ferocious if menaced. The essence of photography, to me, lies in capturing the instant when a moment is just about to erupt and end. Is this the moment you were gone?

Angela Crosti is a third-year student of Photography at University of Westminster, London.
