I am an avid amateur photographer and have lately been developing my photography partly into an experimental direction. I enjoy all genres of photography, but photo art has caught my attention, and while generally my style is documentary, I also occasionally veer into a more artistic direction, especially as I love all the arts. Gardens and nature are a joy to me, and so every year I set out to document the seasons of flowering blossoms I find in my own and other gardens. For this series, however, I decided to create abstractions by layering the photos in post-processing. The effect is somewhat ethereal and intended to create an impressionist atmosphere that may leave the viewers guessing at what they are seeing.

About
Karin was born and raised in Vienna, Austria, but has lived in a number of different countries. She has developed a strong passion for photography over the last few years and is currently expanding her photographic skills through courses at the Prager Fotoschule in Linz, Austria. Nature and culture are very close to her heart, and she enjoys exploring and documenting events and places, and this is also reflected in the type of photography she does. Aesthetically pleasing compositions are important to her, regardless of the type of photography. She has focused primarily on documentary photography for a number of years, but is now developing her photography further into an experimental and photo art direction.
