Nothing has the power to deliver calm and literally bring us down to earth from our busy lives, like Mother Nature. I’m reminded of this each time I’m in the great outdoors, and I aim to carry some of that tranquillity and stillness into my work.

Wendy Coombes is an emerging photographer from Australia. She grew up in the Netherlands near the famous tulip fields. Her favourite themes are wilderness and flowers. In September 2023, her work “Roam” was a finalist in the Look! Prize and is currently on display at the Museum of Australian Photography.
