For the series Unlimited Reality, I was inspired by Plato's theory of forms. Plato believed that the physical world around us was just a shadow or imperfect copy of a higher reality. According to him, this higher reality consists of eternal and unchanging ideas or forms that are perfect and exist independently of our perception of them. He also believed that knowledge and understanding could only be achieved by beholding these perfect forms rather than relying on our imperfect senses.
My photographs show that forms have this property of going beyond normal boundaries. They are not limited by space and time. And because they perfectly represent one specific thing, they are considered pure. Everything we see around us is a reflection of shapes because they are real things, and the reality of objects comes from the shapes themselves. With my images, I try to capture the sense of transcendence and the idea that there is a deeper truth behind the surface of things.
Photography helps me translate my artistic approach through the aesthetics of an image. I like to work with different materials, textures and depth and play with visual effects that allow me to create different interpretations of my subjects.
