During the particular period of confinement, I wanted to bounce back and use this reality as a springboard, a source of inspiration. My approach was to look at the objects in my house in a new way, getting closer to their essence. I tried to get in touch with them from another angle, another sense as if I were sinking into them. Gradually the central point of my inspiration was my kitchen. My objective at the beginning was to take pictures of the culinary process of a recipe, then progressively to use the different ingredients or food containers (eggs, soya sauce, honey, milk, molasses, rennet, vinegar, wine, sparkling water) to create a world very close (3 square meters of my room) and yet far away (abstract, spatial universe).
