This series of photos are taken at an exhibition on an old dismantled and broken factory. These photos of an exhibition may be beautiful, but in this strange moment in which we live the Covid-19 pandemic, I was flooded with a chill of uncertainty. I have played with the shadows because they suggest a world of uncertainty, an enigma about the future. In this series of photos, I have looked for the shadows to give a haunting feeling, adding depth and highlighting emotions, making surreal images, showing reality in other ways. The shadows are between light and dark and can be infinitely reduced and increased, which is very attractive. With greys and almost blacks, vivid colours are mixed that alleviate a little the tension of the dark. We do not know very well what we are seeing, and that is an effect that has surprised me because what is real is not what is physically there but the shadows themselves.

About
I am a woman from Asturias, Spain. I have a degree in Philosophy, and I have been a professor. Later I studied a Master in European Studies at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. I am very interested in making visible the struggle of women in the streets, defending the equality of their rights and taking initiatives to improve the quality of our environment not only in nature but also in our cities and neighbourhoods. I photograph also motivated by curiosity about little things and also by cultural or social differences or similarities in different countries.
