In search of the truth and what’s real, I scratch the surface and find out there is “nothing” behind it. Now I want to peel the skin off reality - exhibit the matrix - to show that the world is only an illusion. The universe has beauty in abundance and consciousness to witness it. My art is trying to show you and remind you of that. Life is a dream. Wake up! Time, Pressure and stress are subjective. So is happiness and fulfilment. The reason why so many people are stressed and depressed is simple. They all look for happiness and fulfilment in all the wrong places: in the outside world. True happiness and satisfaction are only to be found on the inside - not in worldly things. The concept of time is an illusion and a mental construction. Fear creates stress and depression and is directly connected to time and mental projection with thoughts about the future and past. His polaroid art images communicate these philosophical ideas visually to help people wake up to who they are and find truth and fulfilment.

About

Fabian Kochendörfer studied philosophy and art history from 1997 till 1999 in Tuebingen, Germany. He studied with Prof. Diedrich Diederichsen art and design at the Merz Academy in Stuttgart. He graduated with Diploma and with a Master of Arts from the University of Portsmouth in 2005. He is producing polaroid art since the year 2000. He manually manipulates the polaroids in his own style, which he developed over twenty years. He lives and works as an artist in Berlin Neukölln since 2009. Fabian Kochendörfer had a lot of awards, prizes and honourable mentions.
