I intend to express our invisible connection with nature. I seek to reveal the links that exist between all living beings and to reestablish that connection. The idea of crossing - times, spaces, identities - has been present in my work since the beginning. My early works include many collages reflecting my dual culture between Finland and France. At present, my work is more and more composed of transparencies. Plants and trees, in particular, fascinate me. They unveil a part of the essence of being and thus guide me in my search for the essential. I feel humankind must reconcile with nature, and my work will aim toward that end. I use a variety of media, but photography constantly forms the starting point of my work. The series Peonies (2021), based on scans of living plants, is still in progress.
