I conceived this project during a trip to Porto Maurizio, a characteristic Ligurian village located in Italy. Among several genres of photography, I love architecture, minimalism and street photography, and after spending some days in this typical Ligurian village, I was fascinated by the multiple minimalist insights and street impressions one can have here. The clean, rational lines of its neoclassic Dome and its lodges struck me for their beauty, and its cracks and peelings did nothing but increase my fascination for such an authentic place, which spoke so well of the passage of time, together with its medieval houses and corners. The seafront with its port and cabins then revealed another face of this village. Here I focused on that typical season-ending feeling and concluded on a sense of freedom through seagulls’ flight. I believe minimalism and street observation are perfect in the process of starting from reality to abstract and reflecting on universal themes such as time, rationalization attempts and freedom.

About
I am a self-taught photographer from Lissone, Northern Italy. I was born in 1984, and being fascinated by languages and by the encounters with others, I studied languages at high school and Cultural and Linguistic Mediation at University. I have always been fascinated by photography too, and I think I have taken photos all along my life, even before finally having a camera. I seriously started taking pictures at the end of 2019. I engaged myself in several genres of photography and have been working on several projects.
