Beyond the image of the scene, beyond the place or the objects captured, there’s the memory of the moment; Within the mind’s eye, a subtle evolution constantly alters the reality of what was through an undetectable merging of reality with imagination and desire. In this series, I offer one version of a particular moment; the scene is set, however, the story’s left as a blank page, free to be filled in by the unique experience and memory of the viewer. In time, or within us, and in our unique versions of the truth? If there’s truth to the notion that places or objects remain as they were at a certain point in time, it’s that they can and do change within us that gives way to the question: which side of the glass does reality truly reside?

About
Photography entered my life when my dad offered me his Nikon F3 for my 13th birthday and never left me again. I’ve been assisting Directors of Photography on feature films for 15 years, and setting the scene, the emotion, and the mood is what we do. But what I find fascinating with photography is the power of the single image. Beyond words, sounds, or movement, one image alone sums up the emotion, the atmosphere, and the memory of the moment. Those are rare and precious, and capturing them is certainly a matter of patience, sometimes luck, and always a passion. A passion that leads me to travel the world and walks thousands of streets and landscapes to discover places that have stories to tell.
