My photographic approach reflects my research for the disquieting, intimate feelings evoked by places that rule our daily life. Within this itinerary, the human being is practically absent: what is visible is the trace of physical actions that mark the passage of time. There are different shades of loneliness and emptiness but sometimes the absence makes it easier to re-invent our perception. In this way space and time interweave with the mood of memory, creating a visual synthesis always new that appeals to our sense of place.

Francesca Pompei graduated with honour in Philosophy, is a photographer focused on arts and architectural images, a member of the board of Italian Association of Professional Photographers-TAU Visual from 2014 to 2020 and an artist of the Giornata del Contemporaneo- Italian Contemporary Art 2021.
