This project presents viewers with photographs of natural and urban scenes in seeming harmonious coexistence. To passersby who choose to pause and gaze, the vegetation appears to be gazing back. I believe that nature is patiently waiting, sometimes in harsh conditions, for its opportunity to evade the human barriers and occupy the place it deserves.

A native of Poland, Kinga Owczennikow is an art photographer who considers her practice as a collaboration with the world. Kinga was a finalist in the competition titled Mediterranean Spirit at the PhotoMed Awards, 2016, and a finalist in the Association of Photographers Student Awards, 2019 in the category Places (single photo) and the AOP Student Awards, 2020 in the category Things (series). Kinga Owczennikow holds a BA (Hons) degree from the UK’s University for the Creative Arts as well as an Associate Distinction from the Royal Photographic Society.
