Kadurga, a neighborhood which holds a special place in Istanbul's historical landscape and where palaces and select settlements existed during the Byzantine and Ottoman periods, is home to Turkey's first photography museum.The Museum was established as a result of collaboration with Fatih Municipality whom allocated the Museum's one thousand meter square building. The Museum, which has been photographers' dream for many years, is managed and administered by the Friends of Photography AssociationThe Museum hopes to bring to Istanbul a brand new cultural service by providing exhibitions, collections, publications, photography archives, electronic and standard libraries, activities, and educational projects to further develop the Turkish art of photography.
