f/stop is one of the most important photography festivals in Germany. It was organized for the first time in 2007 by the Centre for Contemporary Photography Leipzig and was held annually until 2010. Since 2012 f/stop has taken place biannually. Exhibitions and symposia conceived by guest curators offer a platform for artistic, curatorial and academic work that explores social issues utilizing the resources and potential of photography. f/stop Solo presents the work of a single artist. f/stop Print places emphasis on the presentation of books. f/stop Film complements the exhibitions with a film series screened at Luru Kino. Various Leipzig-based organizations, project spaces and galleries enhance the festival with their own events: f/stop Komplizen at the Baumwollspinnerei and f/stop Satelliten in various locations within the city.
