From 5 to 27 September, Festival Images will once again transform the city of Vevey into a free-access open-air museum: 59 artists hailing from 17 countries will present 49 indoor and outdoor projects over 3 weeks around the theme: “Unexpected. Le hasard des choses”

Images Vevey visual arts’ biennale is opening its doors for three weeks filled with original and exclusive visual experiences, with some fifty custom-designed projects spread out throughout the city of Vevey, both indoors and outdoors. Enjoy this year’s theme “Unexpected. Le hasard des choses” free of charge!

This 7th Festival features exclusive endeavours by 59 artists hailing from 17 different countries to be enjoyed free of charge both indoors and outdoors until 27 September. Blurring the line between photography and contemporary art, Images Vevey’s biennale has the particularity of custom designing its exhibitions for the city, by seeking to strike the perfect balance between the works and the place in which they are exhibited, in unexpected and often monumental formats.

Coronavirus
The priority for Festival Images’ organisers is to guarantee a quality artistic experience, while meeting the requirements of the current situation. A specific protection plan entitled “Touch with the eyes” will be regularly updated and applied throughout the duration of the event, in accordance with FOPH standards. Appropriate signage and specially trained staff are on site to welcome festivalgoers and ensure their visit is as enjoyable as in past years, while respecting social distancing measures. Masks are compulsory when visiting indoor exhibitions only throughout the duration of the event. These are accessible every day from 11am to 7pm. We recommend visiting exhibitions during the week to avoid peak times.
