About this Event

Join us to celebrate the launch of the latest issue of SOURCE Photographic Review: Issue 101 - 'Across Cultures'. Live interviews & Q&A with photographer Andrew Jackson and Aileen Blaney (editor of Photography in India: From Archives to Contemporary Practice, 2018), hosted by SOURCE Editor Richard West. In association with Gallery of Photography Ireland.

Issue 101 - 'Across Cultures'

Culture is a mixture of inheritances. These can be starkly contrasting, defined by historical events or geographical separation but can nevertheless all be contained in one person’s experience. The work in this issue is characterised by the spans of time and space that it encompasses with portfolios from Andrew Jackson, Mitra Tabrizian, Kalpesh Lathigra, Adaeze Ihebom, and Alberta Whittle. And an interview with historian Tina Campt.

We also have our regular columns on Photography and Fashion looking at Alexander McQueen and 'News from the Sales Rooms' covers the Ebay press print market. As well as our reviews of the latest photobooks including Photography and War by Pippa Oldfield, Masculinities by Alona Pardo and Decolonising the Camera by Mark Sealy.

This issue also includes our Special supplement featuring selections from this year's SOURCE Graduate Photography Online (BA Phase) by Nicola Shipley (GRAIN Projects), Rebecca McClelland (Ian Parry Scholarship) and Brenda Fitzsimons (The Irish Times).
