KYOTOGRAPHIE 2025 Main Program

Fourteen artists will hold exhibitions across 15 venues in Kyoto city —— Adam Rouhana, Eamonn Doyle, Eric Poitevin, Graciela Iturbide, Hsing-Yu Liu, JR, Keijiro Kai, Laetitia Ky, Lee Shulman & Omar Victor Diop, Mao Ishikawa, Martin Parr, Pushpamala N, Tamaki Yoshida, and Hiromi Tsuchida and others. From ancient temples to iconic Kyoto landmarks and modern galleries, this year's venues even feature a mural at Kyoto Station, bringing KYOTOGRAPHIE directly to the streets of Kyoto.

The 2025 artists explore the theme of HUMANITY from different perspectives —— war, gender, identity, emotion, community, connection, nature, pain, and love. Additionally, works by Hiromi Tsuchida and others will be featured in an exhibition curated by KYOTOGRAPHIE at Hachiku-an (Former Kawasaki Residence). The exhibitions presents important issues to reflect on in 2025.

In a special announcement, two original publications celebrating the history of KYOTOGRAPHIE and KG. will be available for purchase. KYOTOGRAPHIE: A Kyoto Story commemorates 12 years of artistic and creative vision. KG. SELECT 10 YEARS, 10 ARTISTS reflects on the decade-long history of the KG. Award and the stories of the past award winners. The books will be sold at the KYOTOGRAPHIE Information Centre at Hachiku-an (Former Kawasaki Residnece) and TIME'S during the festival, alongside the official annual catalogue.
