Out of Time - Stories from the Pampas of South AmericaThe pictures by Argentinean photographer Guillermo Srodek-Hart of small "corner shops" and pubs in the rural outskirts of Buenos Aires tell stories from a region that has not yet been affected by globalisation. Here, modernity has only arrived in the form of a Coca-Cola bottle. Time seems to stand still in the small family businesses, bakeries, laundries, workshops, groceries and bars. But it is not only lovers of the "good old days" who get their money's worth - in addition to their nostalgic subject, the photographs show a very special aesthetic, an almost painterly quality.
