The young Belgian photographer Lara Gasparotto has made her name with a quickly developed and spontaneous style, by which she documents her own life. In her words, she concocts an autobiography which holds the middle between dream and reality. Young people are often her subjects, yet she also photographs landscapes and interiors, and her keen vision is permeated with an atmosphere of beauty and intimacy. Gasparottos love of the countryside where she grew up, and to which she often returns, is also readily apparent. With an introduction by Italian art critic Francesca Alfano Miglietti, this publication presents her new work from the past two years.
