Anastasia Dutova: The Lines of Life series was born out of my complex emotional experiences and depression. At that time, the only place where I felt calm was the forest. Being alone among the trees, I felt a connection, an invisible support. They calmed me with their mighty branches, and I wanted to convey this through images born in my heart.

I reflected on how we are connected, that I can breathe thanks to them, how similar our organisms are, that we are all one family and capable of living in peace and supporting each other, and that they also need support, just like me. Man is prone to a sense of self-destruction, but by allowing this, we inevitably destroy all living things, nature, and the universe.
