Foam is delighted by last week’s announcement that the Dutch government will ease restrictions on museums starting June 1st. We are working hard behind the scenes to make sure Foam visits will be safe and easy. More information coming soon.

Until then, we continue with #FoamAtHome. Explore with us online this week with a special Show & Tell of the works of Vivian Maier, a Q&A with work from the Foam collection and more.

Show & Tell: Vivian Maier

When Foam reopens the colorful works of Vivian Maier in the new exhibition Works in Color will be presented. The exhibition shows street scenes in Chicago, where Maier lived for much of her life. Her work in color seems altogether playful and tongue in cheek. Vivian Maier's work will be on show until 13 September.

First Editions:Suzette Bousema
Foam presents two new First Editions, exclusively for sale at Foam from the 19th of May onwards.

What if ice that has been frozen for hundreds of thousands of years could be used to predict the future of our climate? The series Climate Archive by photographer Suzette Bousema employs tubular samples of ice from Antarctica and Greenland as a tool for observing climate change. By exploring how tangible objects serve to improve our understanding of unobservable concepts such as global warming, these objects not only become tools for scientific research, they become tools of wonder and enlightenment.
