Inspired by a portrait I made of opera singer Susan Daniel, the At Home series documents interesting people in the privacy of their homes. We all have a public and private persona, and this is especially true of politicians and celebrities. During Covid, we got used to peeking behind their doors during TV interviews over Zoom. When I photograph people, I am always looking for what makes them different, little things that show who they really are. Our homes are incredibly full of details that can reveal what's behind the facades we all create and the public images of people we think we know.
