From July 1, all internet users can choose the best works shortlisted at the Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest 2021 by voting on the contest’s and English website https://stenincontest.com/winners2021/.

To vote, a social media network account is required, such as VKontakte, Facebook, Twitter or China’s Weibo. Voting will close at 23:59 Moscow Time on July 31. The winner will be announced in early August, and the one who has taken the most popular online photo will receive a contest certificate.

Oksana Oleinik, curator of the Andrei Stenin Contest and Head of the Rossiya Segodnya Media Group’s Visual Projects Service, believes that the online voting which has become a good tradition of the contest is not just a public jury for evaluating the contestant’s works.

Internet users who vote are real photo connoisseurs, and they want to learn and understand as many aspects of modern photography as possible. We are happy to realize that the works of those representing the best and most outstanding aspects of youth photo journalism help them achieve this goal, Oleinik noted.

The winners of the Andrei Stenin Contest’s Grand Prix and category awards will be selected in September on the stenincontest.ru | stenincontest.com website. The contest’s organizers also plan to hold a traditional worldwide road show of the best photos before the year is out.

About the contest
The Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest, organized by Rossiya Segodnya under the patronage of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, aims to support young photographers and draw public attention to the challenges of photojournalism today. It is a platform for young photographers – talented and sensitive individuals open to all things new – to highlight people and events near us.
